Tasks and Duties

For the first week, your task will be to conduct a comprehensive study on the key concepts of Business Intelligence Data Engineering. Prepare a DOC file containing a detailed report of your findings. The report should include definitions, use cases, benefits, challenges, and real-world examples of each concept. The report must be well-structured, free of plagiarism, and contain at least 2500 words. The report will be evaluated based on the thoroughness of the research, the clarity of the explanations, the quality of the examples provided, and the overall presentation of the report.

Your task for the second week will be to design a hypothetical data warehouse for a retail company. The company has operations in multiple countries and sells a wide range of products. Your data warehouse design should include fact tables, dimension tables, and the ETL process. Describe in detail how the data will be extracted, transformed, and loaded into the data warehouse. Your deliverable will be a DOC file containing the data warehouse design, ETL process description, and explanations of your design choices. The design must be original and reflect a practical understanding of data warehouse design principles. Your task will be evaluated based on the practicality of the design, the clarity of your explanations, and the overall presentation of your work.

The third week's task is to create a conceptual data model for a hypothetical e-commerce company. The model should include entities such as customers, products, orders, payments, etc. Discuss the relationships among the entities and the attributes of each entity. Also, create SQL queries for common tasks such as retrieving customer information, calculating total sales, etc., and discuss how you would optimize these queries. The deliverable will be a DOC file containing your report designs, data processing descriptions, and data visualization sketches.
