Internship program for Senior Network Engineer.
Tasks and Duties

As a Senior Network Engineer, one of your key roles is developing and implementing network design strategies. This week, your task is to design a robust and scalable network for a hypothetical organization. Your target organization has five departments, with a total of 800 employees. Your network design should be scalable, secure, and efficient. Your design should include topology diagrams and detailed narratives on the chosen network devices, protocols, and security measures. Expected deliverables are a DOC file containing your design and narratives, and a network topology diagram embedded within the DOC file. To evaluate your work, we will look at the scalability, security, and efficiency of your design, as well as the clarity of your narratives.

In this task, you are required to demonstrate your expertise in configuring and troubleshooting a network. Assume you are working with a network that has been experiencing intermittent connectivity issues. Your task is to identify the problem, propose, and implement a solution. Provide a step-by-step guide of your process in a DOC file. Also, document any configuration commands used and provide a brief explanation of how they work. Evaluation will be based on the accuracy and efficiency of your solution, as well as the clarity of your documentation.

Network security is integral to the role of a Senior Network Engineer. This week, you will develop a comprehensive network security strategy for a hypothetical organization. Consider areas such as firewall settings, encryption protocols, access controls, and intrusion detection systems. In a DOC file, detail your strategy, the rationale behind your decisions, and how your strategy will work to safeguard the organization's network. Your work will be evaluated based on the comprehensiveness of your strategy and the clarity of your rationale.

For the final week, you will focus on network performance evaluation and optimization. Assume a scenario where a company's network is facing performance issues like slow speeds and high latency. Your task is to diagnose the possible reasons and propose an optimization strategy. Document your step-by-step analysis, findings, and solutions in a DOC file. Include any relevant calculations, diagrams, or tables within the document. Your work will be evaluated based on the thoroughness of your analysis, the feasibility of your solutions, and the clarity of your documentation.
