Internship program for Director, MS&T - External Manufacturing & Supply Operations.
Tasks and Duties

The objective for this week is to formulate a strategic plan for external manufacturing and supply operations. You are required to identify key stakeholders, significant processes, potential bottlenecks, and risk mitigation strategies. This task includes researching industry best practices and formulating a comprehensive strategy document. Your deliverable will be a DOC file containing the strategic plan, which should include an executive summary, stakeholder analysis, process flowchart, bottleneck analysis, and risk mitigation strategies. Evaluation will be based on the thoroughness of research, clarity of the plan, and innovation in the proposed strategies. Please cite all references used.

This week's task is to design an operational execution plan based on the strategic plan developed in Week 1. This plan should detail how the strategies will be implemented, the resources required, and a timeline for execution. The deliverable will be a DOC file containing the operational execution plan, which should include detailed steps for implementation, a resource allocation plan, and a Gantt chart outlining the timeline. Evaluation will be based on the feasibility, scalability, and detail-oriented nature of the plan. It is expected that you use publicly available data for reference.

The objective for this week is to develop Key Performance Indicators (KPIs) for the operational execution plan. KPIs should align with the strategic objectives and should be measurable, actionable, relevant, and time-bound. The deliverable will be a DOC file containing the list of KPIs, their definitions, measures, and frequency of measurement. Evaluation will be based on the relevance of the KPIs to the strategic objectives, their measurability, and their potential to drive improvement. All references used should be cited.

This week, you are required to develop a continuous improvement plan. This plan should identify potential areas for improvement, propose methods for enhancing efficiency, and outline steps for implementation. The deliverable will be a DOC file containing the continuous improvement plan, which should include an analysis of potential improvement areas, proposed improvement methods, and an implementation plan. Evaluation will be based on the thoroughness of the analysis, the feasibility of the proposed methods, and the clarity of the implementation plan.

The objective for this week is to create a stakeholder communication plan. This plan should detail who needs to be communicated with, what information needs to be shared, how often communication should occur, and through what channels. The deliverable will be a DOC file containing the stakeholder communication plan, which should include a stakeholder map, a communication matrix, and a proposed communication schedule. Evaluation will be based on the comprehensiveness of the plan, the appropriateness of the proposed communication methods, and the feasibility of the communication schedule.

In the final week, you are required to evaluate and refine the strategic plan based on the learnings from the previous weeks. This task includes reviewing all the previous deliverables, identifying areas of improvement, and refining the strategic plan accordingly. The deliverable will be a DOC file containing the refined strategic plan, which should include the revised strategies, justifications for the revisions, and an updated implementation timeline. Evaluation will be based on the depth of the review, the effectiveness of the proposed revisions, and the clarity of the updated plan.
