Tasks and Duties
Week 1-2: Workplace Culture Assessment
Summary
Assess the culture of a fictional organization using a structured questionnaire. Analyze sample employee responses and identify common workplace themes. Prepare a culture assessment report with practical observations.
Objective
Conduct a simulated workplace culture assessment for a fictional organization.
Create a questionnaire containing at least ten questions covering communication, teamwork, leadership support, recognition, learning opportunities, inclusion, workload, and employee involvement.
Use rating-scale questions along with a few open-ended questions.
Generate at least fifteen fictional responses for analysis.
Calculate basic averages for the rating questions and identify common themes from the written responses.
Create two or three charts to present the findings visually.
Highlight areas that appear positive and areas that may need further attention based only on the fictional responses.
Do not use real employee information or present the results as an actual organizational assessment.
Prepare a report containing the objective, methodology, findings, charts, observations, and recommendations.
Submit the questionnaire, sample response data, and final report.
The objective is to understand how HR and organizational development teams can collect structured feedback about workplace culture and convert employee feedback into areas for further discussion and improvement.
Week 3-4: Change Management Plan
Summary
Create a change-management plan for a fictional organizational change. Identify stakeholders, communication needs, risks, and support activities. Prepare a practical step-by-step implementation approach.
Objective
Prepare a change management plan for a fictional organization introducing a workplace change.
Select a realistic change such as implementing a new HR system, moving to a hybrid work model, introducing a new performance-review process, or changing an internal communication tool.
Explain why the organization is making the change and identify the employees or teams affected by it.
Create a stakeholder table containing stakeholder group, expected concern, communication requirement, and support needed.
Prepare a step-by-step change plan covering preparation, communication, training, implementation, feedback, and follow-up.
Identify at least five possible risks or employee concerns and provide a mitigation approach for each.
Since this is a work-from-home task, use fictional scenarios and public research rather than requiring access to a real organization.
Submit the change management plan as a PDF or document.
Add a communication message that HR could send to employees before the change begins.
Conclude by explaining why transparent communication, training, and employee feedback are important during organizational change.
Week 5-6: Employee Feedback Survey
Summary
Design an employee feedback survey for a fictional remote organization. Collect and analyze sample responses using a spreadsheet. Identify key themes and improvement opportunities from the results.
Objective
Design and analyze a fictional employee feedback survey for a remote organization.
The survey should measure areas such as communication, manager support, collaboration, learning opportunities, workload, recognition, and overall employee experience.
Create at least twelve questions using rating scales and open-ended responses.
Generate at least fifteen fictional responses and analyze the results using Excel or Google Sheets.
Calculate average scores for major areas and create simple charts showing the results.
Identify the three strongest areas and three areas that could be improved based on the sample data.
Group open-ended comments into common themes and provide examples using fictional comments.
Prepare a short report containing the survey objective, questionnaire, response summary, charts, key findings, and recommendations.
Do not use real employee information or claim that the results represent an actual organization.
Submit the survey, sample response dataset, analysis, and report.
The goal of this task is to understand how HR can use employee feedback to identify workplace improvement opportunities and support evidence-based organizational development.
Week 7-8: Organizational Improvement Action Plan
Summary
Develop an improvement plan based on fictional culture and feedback findings. Prioritize improvement areas and define measurable actions. Create a timeline and responsibility matrix for implementation.
Objective
Create an organizational improvement action plan based on the fictional culture assessment and employee feedback results developed in the previous tasks.
Select three to five improvement areas such as communication, employee recognition, learning opportunities, collaboration, onboarding, or manager support.
For each area, describe the problem identified from the sample data, the proposed improvement, responsible role, required resources, timeline, and expected outcome.
Define at least one measurable indicator for each action so progress can be reviewed later.
Create a simple implementation timeline covering immediate, short-term, and medium-term actions.
You may also create a responsibility matrix showing which fictional HR or management role is responsible for each activity.
Ensure that your recommendations are realistic for a remote organization and do not require expensive or unavailable resources.
Submit the final action plan as a professional PDF or document.
Add an executive summary explaining the most important recommendations.
The objective is to demonstrate how HR and organizational development teams can convert employee feedback and assessment findings into structured improvement initiatives.
