Tasks and Duties
1

Week 1-2: Training Needs Assessment

Mandatory Weightage: 100%

Summary

Identify training requirements for a fictional team using a sample scenario. Create a simple employee skill-gap assessment framework. Recommend suitable training areas based on the identified gaps.

Objective

1)

Conduct a simulated Training Needs Assessment for a fictional department.

2)

Choose a department such as sales, customer support, software development, marketing, or HR.

3)

Create five fictional employee profiles with different skill levels and responsibilities.

4)

Define the skills required for their roles and compare those requirements with their current skill levels.

5)

You can create a simple rating system such as Beginner, Intermediate, and Advanced.

6)

Prepare a spreadsheet showing employee role, required skills, current level, identified gap, and recommended training.

7)

After completing the assessment, identify the top three training priorities for the department.

8)

Explain why these areas should be addressed first and what type of learning activity could help employees improve.

9)

Use fictional information only and do not use real employee performance data.

10)

You may research general training-needs assessment methods from public HR and learning resources.

11)

Submit the completed assessment sheet and a short report explaining your findings.

12)

The purpose of this task is to understand how HR and Learning & Development teams identify skill gaps before designing training programs.

2

Week 3-4: Employee Training Content Development

Mandatory Weightage: 100%

Summary

Create a short learning module for a selected professional skill. Prepare structured content with objectives, concepts, examples, and activities. Design the material so it can be delivered through online learning.

Objective

1)

Develop a short employee training module on a professional skill relevant to your selected department.

2)

Possible topics include business communication, time management, customer service, workplace professionalism, Excel basics, cybersecurity awareness, or teamwork.

3)

Begin by defining three to five learning objectives that explain what participants should know or be able to do after completing the module.

4)

Create structured learning content with an introduction, key concepts, practical examples, a short activity, and a knowledge check.

5)

Keep the content suitable for an online training session and make it easy for a beginner to understand.

6)

You may create slides, a PDF learning guide, or another digital format.

7)

Use publicly available sources for research where necessary and mention the sources used.

8)

Avoid copying copyrighted training material.

9)

The task should demonstrate your ability to organize information into a learning experience rather than simply collecting information from the internet.

10)

Submit the training material along with a short explanation of the target audience, estimated learning time, and expected outcome.

11)

Include at least five questions that can be used to check participant understanding.

3

Week 5-6: Virtual Training Session Plan

Mandatory Weightage: 100%

Summary

Prepare a complete plan for delivering a virtual employee training session. Create an agenda, trainer instructions, activities, and participant interaction points. Design the session for an online work-from-home environment.

Objective

1)

Prepare a detailed plan for conducting a 30 to 45-minute virtual employee training session.

2)

You do not need to conduct the session with real employees.

3)

Select a topic from your previous training module and design the session for remote participants.

4)

Your plan should include the session objective, target audience, duration, agenda, trainer introduction, explanation sections, interactive activity, question-and-answer segment, and closing summary.

5)

Explain how the trainer can encourage participants to interact during an online session through polls, chat questions, quizzes, or small activities.

6)

Prepare a simple trainer checklist covering preparation before the session, activities during the session, and follow-up after the session.

7)

You may use Google Meet, Microsoft Teams, Zoom, or another example platform for planning purposes.

8)

Do not require access to an actual organization.

9)

Submit the session plan and trainer checklist as a document or PDF.

10)

Add a short note explaining how virtual training differs from traditional classroom training and what an HR professional should consider when keeping remote employees engaged during an online learning session.

4

Week 7-8: Training Evaluation & Feedback

Mandatory Weightage: 100%

Summary

Design a feedback and evaluation system for a completed training program. Create questions to measure participant satisfaction and learning outcomes. Prepare a simple training evaluation report using sample responses.

Objective

1)

Create a training evaluation framework for the virtual training program planned in your previous task.

2)

The objective is to understand how HR and Learning & Development teams measure whether training was useful.

3)

Design a feedback form containing questions about content quality, trainer effectiveness, participation, clarity, relevance, and overall satisfaction.

4)

Include both rating-based and open-ended questions.

5)

Create at least ten fictional participant responses and analyze the results using a spreadsheet.

6)

Calculate simple measures such as average satisfaction score and percentage of participants who found the training useful.

7)

Identify two strengths and two areas for improvement based on the sample responses.

8)

Prepare a short evaluation report containing the purpose, methodology, findings, participant feedback summary, and recommendations.

9)

Use fictional data only; no real employee information is required.

10)

You may use Excel or Google Sheets for calculations and charts.

11)

Submit the feedback form, sample response sheet, and evaluation report.

12)

Conclude by explaining how regular training evaluation can help an organization improve future learning programs and make training more relevant to employee needs.
